SybaGuard

The SybaGuard Bandwidth Monitoring solution provides our clients with the ability to self manage their bandwidth usage. Most clients have expressed a concern, at some point or another, over the amount of bandwidth used by their networks. Traditionally, bandwidth usage statistics are historical and do not provide in-depth management information.

SybaGuard provides our clients with two relative functions: the ability to self monitor real-time activity per user; and the ability to maintain network security via the monitoring of server, PC and user activity.

Why monitor traffic?
SybaGuard is a management tool that can be used to significantly improve workforce efficiency and performance, and reduce unnecessary expenditure.
Whilst access to the internet and email is an essential function of daily business operations, it is also an increasingly irritating time-waster for managers to deal with.

The use of company bandwidth for non-work related activity is also an expense that many companies are no longer willing or able to absorb.

As a security measure, if unusual bandwidth usage is noted, the management interface allows for determination of the origin of the usage and allows for action to be taken if the user poses a security threat or has, in fact, breached the network’s security.

How does it work?
Each server and PC on the network has a unique ID which is loaded into the SybaGuard management interface. When the service is activated, SybaGuard automatically lists (in order of activity) all active PCs and servers. The management interface shows, in real-time, the amount of bandwidth uploaded and downloaded, the amount of email sent and received, the current websites being viewed by each user and a list of previously viewed websites by time / date / data transferred.

The service allows for variable ranges (overall, individual, time / date ranges) of statistics to be saved and / or printed.

SybaGuard allows for remote access, which means you can monitor your business when you’re not in the office.

Sybaweb also provides remote and telephonic support for the service.
